The principle: your photos never leave your computer
The Scope Photo Viewer software runs exclusively locally, on your Mac. It never sends the content of your photos, their file names, or your folder structure to our servers or to anyone else. The Software's only network communications are described below.

Legal basis
Performance of the sales contract and provision of the service (account, license) for data related to purchase and activation; your consent for the optional Google sign-in or magic link.
Recipients and processors
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google — authentication (optional Google sign-in).
- Mailgun — sending emails (sign-in magic link, account notifications).
- Contabo GmbH — hosting of the site and database (Germany, European Union).
No data is sold to third parties or used for advertising purposes.
Retention period
Account and license data is kept for as long as the account exists. You may request its deletion at any time (see "Your rights" below); some data may be kept beyond that to comply with legal obligations (accounting, fraud prevention).
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@scope-photo-viewer.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority — the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH) in Hungary, or the data protection authority of your country of residence if you are located elsewhere in the European Union.
